Collaborating with TLCD Architecture, ELS Architecture and Wright Contracting to tell the story of the modernized athletic complex at Santa Rosa Jr. College (SRJC) was a fun challenge. Combining aerial, architectural and action photography, our goal was to show the large scope of the project as well as the human experience of athletes engaging with the space.
The project included new fields for soccer, baseball and softball, a new olympic swimming pool, and a new football field house with locker rooms, offices and outdoor event space.
Juggling the timing, various types of photography and different locations made for a interesting and challenging day. Working with student athletes and coaches for the various teams was a pleasure. It was inspiring to see these young adults work so hard and have such a good time enjoying their new digs.
Thank you to Duncan Clark, our drone pilot, and to Marina Starkey and Carl Servais from TLCD for all the collaboration before, during, and after the shoot – and for helping move all that pool equipment! And a special thank you to Stephen Newport, whose retouching extraordinaire brought these fields to life.
