Tear Sheets + Case Studies

While images and videos often play a lead role, they are ultimately one part of a larger marketing story. We are fortunate and grateful to have had the opportunity to collaborate with many outstanding companies over the last few years. Here are a few examples of how our clients are putting our images and video to work.

Kaiser NICU | TLCD Architecture

Collaborating with TLCD Architecture to help tell the visual story of the newly remodeled spaces at Kaiser’s Intermediate Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Santa Rosa was a fun challenge. I love shoots with TLCD because their team is committed to creating images that tell the human story of architecture.

BART Headquarters

This fast-paced progressive design-build project with RIM Architects and Turner Construction was one of those stories to tell during the peak of the pandemic. The team celebrates with multiple awards for their collaboration and success through challenging times.

Facebook MPK22 + Park

We collaborated with Kier+Wright to create landscape and architectural photography that tells the story of the relationship between the building and the land, showcasing the landscaping, trees, and the bike/pedestrian paths. Kier + Wright designed the on-site and off-site improvements for Facebook’s West Campus, an ongoing expansion of Facebook’s corporate headquarters in Menlo Park.

Exchange Bank

It was inspiring creating stills and video for Exchange Bank‘s advertising campaign celebrating work that goes on behind the scenes at Redwood Empire Food Bank. It is an honor to see our image on the home page of Exchange Bank’s website showing the power of community!

Pathline Park

Collaborating with the marketing team at Kier+Wright, we created landscape and architectural images to showcase the site planning, civil engineering, and dryscaping of this 50 acre complex in Sunnyvale, CA.

Color Tokens

Another successful partnership with Laughing Cat Films, we created these marketing video interviews for Color Tokens, a zero trust digital security firm in the San Francisco Bay Area. Color Tokens is using the video to educate their clients and to recruit with an engaging video.

Sonoma Clean Power

In partnership with TLCD Architecture and The Engine is Red, this combination architectural and lifestyle photoshoot for Sonoma Clean Power’s Advanced Energy Center, was to showcase the design and function behind this unique and forward-thinking space. The center was built as an education center for members of the community to learn about clean energy options, from electric cars, to cooktops, to water heaters, and help them choose better energy alternatives for a greener planet.

Service West + MacKenzie

Service West hired Mackenzie for a brand refresh focused on their strongest asset: their employees. We created both documentary “behind the scenes” style images, and environmental portraits, from the CEO to the warehouse workers. By capturing video concurrently during our shooting days, we were able to deliver additional content with only a small increase in budget.

Cooke & Associates

Cooke & Associates offers highly specialized services including security for VIP clients. This series of images captures the importance of theses services and highlights the thoughtful and professional company behind them.

Avive

Avive reimagines the AED technology by integrating the 911 system to increase the number of bystander AED saves. Collaborating with the founders and marketing team, we created lifestyle photography at various locations in the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as product photography in our Petaluma studio. It was exciting to be able to show the full story of Avive and the lifesaving devices they create.

MBH Architects

MBH Architects creates outstanding designs for a wide variety of local, national, and international companies: medical research labs, luxury retail, sophisticated office spaces, even yoga studios! By collaborating with the marketing and design team during pre-production and working together during our shoots, we create effective images that tell the story of each project. It’s icing on the cake to see our images help these designs win industry awards and to see them featured in publications like Dexigner, Prism, Retail Design Blog, and Retail Times.

TLCD Architecture

TLCD Architecture in Santa Rosa, California brings a high level of commitment to our photoshoots. By investing in strong pre-production, and inviting their staff to participate in shoots as talent, our shoots go beyond showing the buildings’ designs to also tell the story of how it feels to be in the space. Projects include Kaiser San Rafael Diagnostic and Treatment, Kaiser NICU, Kaiser ResidencyKaiser Behavioral Health CenterButte Regional Transit Operations CenterTerrace Middle School Learning Resource Center, and Jeff Kunde Hall at the Santa Rosa Junior College.

TerraThrive

Really the only way to tell the story of TerraThrive’s amazing worm casings and how they are used in regenerative gardening and agriculture is through a series of informational videos, and that is exactly what we did for them. What could be seen as a “boring” or “misunderstood” product is brought to life with these video vignettes.

Wagster Dog Treats

When a dog treat is actually much more than just a dog treat, effective imagery helps to tell the story. Wagster Treats are made by graduates of the Fresh Starts Culinary Academy, a nonprofit training program for low-income and homeless adults. The treats are made with high quality, simple ingredients. I love supporting local non-profits like Wagster!

RIM Architects

Collaborating with RIM Architects to tell the visual story of this PG&E Electric Safety Training Center was a delightful opportunity to peek behind the scenes into how our electrical infrastructure is built and maintained. It’s deeply satisfying to see this project win an ENR award! Another project we collaborated on was the new Swinerton Builder’s office space in Concord, CA, another fascinating look at an interesting space not normally accessible to the public.

Arborica

Arborica had a major challenge: to show the awe-inspiring scale and the “wow factor” of visiting their facility, on their new website. We decided to create a drone based video with the goal of giving website visitors an immediate sense of the scope of Arborica’s manufacturing capacity and incredible inventory of wood slabs.

Innerstave

When it’s not immediately apparent what your product is, what it does, or the craftsmanship behind how it’s made, how do you quickly and effectively answer those questions? Innerstave manufactures wood products used to flavor wine, beer, and spirits in their Sonoma, California facility. In addition to traditional product photography for their catalog, we also created images to show how these products work, and the care their craftsmen give to the process.

Marines’ Memorial Club & Hotel

The Marines’ Memorial Club & Hotel in San Francisco is much more than a club and hotel, it is a landmark steeped in tradition and memory, which both honors and serves current military members and veterans. Over several years and many shoots, we’ve told this story using traditional architectural photography, lifestyle photography with active service members, and by understanding and respecting that this is a Living Memorial.

Roman Spa Hot Springs Resort

Collaborating with the family owned and operated Roman Spa Hot Springs Resort, we created images and video for a physical and digital renovation. In addition to architectural photography of the spaces, we also created lifestyle photography and video to show how it feels to experience the indulgence and relaxation of this special place.
